So our road trip was supposed to be to go to Independence, Kansas and then it grew to the Wilder Trail...THEN it took on a whole new life! Adventure Girls gone wild and quite off script!
First stop was Schaumburg, Illinois. We stayed outside of Chicago (in a Marriott based hotel, of course!) to help keep the cost down. We aren't travels, you know. (But if anyone wants to sponsor us, we will gladly be sponsored and blog away...lol!)
The Residence Inn provided an awesome...FREE...shuttle to the Metra and then to the Big Red Bus. We had an awesome time and were quite proud of ourselves mastering the public transportation.
Willis Tower...103rd floor of the former Sears Tower with clear observation boxes & views extending to four states.
There was a lady that went before us that was holding on for dear life and wouldn't look down. Kudos to her for not letting her fears hold her back. She could audition to be an Adventure Girl but not quite sure she would make the cut.
Set and ready to tour. The little LOVES big cities. Me, I go along for the ride...haha!
The Naval Pier
We LOVED the ride! You could see out everywhere!
You had to take a picture here. How often do you see a frame of crazy leather straps?
Time to get our TILT on!
Pretty cool to watch. We opted out of going in.
The Bean!
A little out of order but yes, the Adventure Girls did the Tilt!
Observatory on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Building with a tilting glass lookout 1000 ft. up.
I have to say that it was pretty cool and seriously not scary at all!
