Another unscheduled stop....we do this often! Belmont Mansion was just gorgeous! It was the Belle on the Mountain! It was built in 1853 by Adelicia Hayes Franklin Acklen Cheatham. It once had a petting zoo for her children when petting zoos did not even exist for the public. Adelicia was quite the business lady, very brave and determined to say the least. Today, the mansion stands amongst Belmont University. You have to stand on the grounds and imagine the outbuildings, petting zoo, water tower and more. It isn't hard with a visit, photos, and well versed guides. Great place! #BellmontMansion #Travel #AdventureGirls
