The Big Apple

The Big Apple is where the little REALLY wanted to go! Big cities are her thing! We stayed outside of the city in New Jersey to help save money. We took the bus into the Port Authority and then the subway from there. To be small town girls, these Adventure Girls have done pretty good with public transportation. For some reason in the evening, we didn't do so great with the subway. We even did a circle and gave up and take a cab to the port. We did it though!

We had the best time. We did the hop on/hop off tour with Grayline. Now, let me note here that we LOVE hop on/hop off tours. However, we were not thrilled with this tour bus company. The bus stops were far apart...the wait time was VERY long at stops and the 2nd day we couldn't even find the bus. There was another company https://www.newyorkpass.com/new-york-attractions/big-bus-hop-on-hop-off-tours.html that we saw all over the place and seemed to have multiple buses throughout the route. If we decide to do a hop on/hop off in NYC again, we will try that one. We WILL NOT be doing Grayline again! With that being said, we had an awesome trip. The 1st day we primarily rode the bus and listened to what the guide had to share with us.
