The Verdigris River...Kansas
Remember when it was storming so badly and the Verdigris River rose so high that Santa Claus wasn't going to be able to make it to Laura and Mary and Mr. Edwards met up with him to deliver their presents?! He came into their little house with ice hanging off of his beard but he made it with their gifts! It was so neat to see the river in person from the Little House on the Prairie books. It wasn't hard to imagine Mr. Edwards coming across it or the girls playing in the water.
