We headed back to Colonial Williamsburg today since we arrived too late yesterday to do much besides the fireworks. We were fortunate enough to have arrived early enough to make reservations for a carriage ride. I was so happy about this! It is a great way to see around the area and not have to walk in the heat. Heat? Oh yes! We were backing in the summer heat! Be sure to take a fan if you head over there in the summer. Whew! Check out some of the highlights below and click the links if you would like more information :)

| The Blue Carriage...what a relaxing way to take in Colonial Williamsburg. If you are ever there, I would recommend it! Just be sure that you get reservations!! Click here for more details...https://www.colonialwilliamsburg.com/explore/carriage-rides |
Visiting the Governor's Palace.
Wow! Now that is a lot of weapons! The Governor's Palace had weapons on all of the walls. These weapons would have been used to protect all of Virginia. If there weren't enough here, they would have utilized those in the Magazine. http://www.history.org/almanack/places/hb/hbmag.cfm
The archway at the gardens at the Governor's Palace. The gardens were quite pretty!
Come along on our carriage ride!
Shield's Tavern https://www.colonialwilliamsburghotels.com/dining/shields-tavern/...the food was good and the atmosphere was great! The tab, well, it was $90 for lunch! Ouch! It was quite dark in there & Jeeves didn't have his glasses so we couldn't tell what was wrong with the bill. Rather than debate, Jeeves paid. Me, well, I would have debated...lol!
If you visit Colonial Williamsburg in the summer, this fan, or the one you bring will be your best friend!
Hmmmm....they finally caught up to us!
It wasn't allowable "back in the day" for women to serve on the jury but this day one did!
How do you top the day off? Why you go to the candy shop of course!
