Road Trip....Plan C!

July 21, 2018

I messed this day up so badly! I planned a fun road trip for us to go "glamping" for 5 days.  First, I went to the place we are staying last. Imagine my surprise when they said they didn't have a place for me that day but later in the week they had me down . THEN I go to the 2nd stop, which was 3 1/2 hours away. I get almost there and a message pops up on my phone to remind me about my stay at the place on SUNDAY! I asked the little what day it was and she says, "Saturday". I didn't want to believe her so I look at my calendar and sure enough...Saturday! We are supposed to be there Sunday and they had no availability today. Grrrr....I had to come up with an alternate plan quite quickly! We stopped at a winery to take pics with a cool "LOVE" sign, played with the animals there and found a hotel at a different place that has some interesting things the little might like to do tmorrow.

A little hiccup but nothing the Adventure Girls weren't able to figure out. Just an extra day of adventure...woohoo!!

If you are ever in the Roanoke, VA area, check the winery out! It is gorgeous and the people are great!

Starting mileage for this road trip.

Adventure Girls ready to go!
All loaded and ready to go!

I'm in "love" with this scenery at Peaks of Otter Winery. It was already closed for the day but they were super sweet and let us hang out with the animals and to take pictures.

The goats were happy to see us but I do believe they were upset we didn't have food. :(

"What are you looking at?"

"I'm ready for my food."

"I love to be petted!"

"Want to donate to my Botox fund?" (I have never seen such a wrinkled foreheaded pig!

This sign had me a little freaked out...

...considering this guy seemed to be watching us like a hawk...instead of a turkey!

There were barn quilts all over the farm and winery grounds. Pretty!

The sheep wanted some food too but I didn't have any :(

Meet Johnny Appleseed!

Such a gorgeous viiew! I could have sat here forever!

Apple trees and wildflowers

Can you see the butterfly? He was super hard to get a picture of!
