After 24 days, 32 states and 6,000 miles with 22 hotel stays, 1 stay in a covered wagon and 1 stay with a friend, we made it to our happy place! The new Suburban has proven to be a great vehicle for a road trip and the added safety features saved us from accidents several occasions. Whew!
I can't say enough about the memories that we created on this trip! I was seriously concerned that I would not have the endurance to make it to Independence, Kansas for the Little House on the Prairie Days and then we stretched it to the Wilder Trail. Then we stretched it to the New England states and NYC. Wow! It certainly was a trip that will go down in the record books for us. It also helped us knock out more states for our 50 state challenge. It was great discovering America and seeing all of the beautiful sights. I have been to 39 states and the little has been to 36. We hope to visit all 50 and some more than once. We are very blessed to live in such a great country!
The new car is already ready for an oil change. We racked up the miles and had a great time! Love the Chevy Suburban. Hopefully it is as good as our Chevy Tahoe that has 240,000 miles and counting!
I drove so much that I even got callouses!
