We had quite the busy day today. We went into Boston again today. We loved Kennedy's Rose garden. We didn't seem to be able to capture their beauty though. We also visited Paul Revere's house. So interesting to be where history was made! We also visited the Quincy Market and the little had a great time shopping. We also enjoyed the street performers that were out and about. We spent a lot of time just watching them throughout the town. We also enjoyed watching the wedding parties & Quinceanera girls taking their pictures in the park. Such a beautiful backdrop.
Once we visited all that we wanted to see in Boston we headed for Woodstock, Connecticut and visited the Roseland Cottage...well the gardens. We will save the cottage for another day. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous! They even had cocoa mulch. So yummy smelling!
No rest for these travelers! We headed of for Newport, Rhode Island. I wish we had stayed her for an extra day. There was just so much to see and do there. We kind of missed out on some since it was Sunday and stores were closed where we finished our cliffwalk. We will definitely have to go back here! The cliffwalk was beyond amazing! The waves crashing, the beautiful flowers, and the mansions were just amAzing! I could have planted myself here in a hammock and stayed forever. Sadly...we had to leave! No dust settles beneath us!
Next stop...New Jersey/New York!
Kennedy Rose Garden
Paul Revere's house
We thought it was strange that they had a dining room table in the bedroom but the guide said it was common to entertain all in the same room to keep things near the fireplace and everyone warm.
This 900 pound bronze bell was cast in 1804 by Paul Revere and Son.
Walking where Paul Revere walked and rode.
The street performers were neat to watch throughout Boston.
Walking along the Freedom Trail.

The Memorial represents the effort of more than 3,000 individuals and organizations, coming together to create a vibrant beacon of memory—and hope foster memory of, and reflection on, one of the great tragedies of our time.

Roseland Cottage & Gardens in Woodstock, Connecticut.
Built in 1846 in the newly fashionable Gothic Revival style, Roseland Cottage was the summer home of Henry and Lucy Bowen and their young family. While the house is instantly recognizable for its pink exterior, Roseland Cottage has an equally colorful interior, featuring elaborate wall coverings, heavily patterned carpets, and stained glass, much of which survives unchanged from the Victorian era. The house is a National Historic Landmark.
The gardens were gorgeous and even had cocoa mulch. Yummy smelling!
Next time we will go and tour the cottage too.
Newport, Rhode Island was beautiful! I just loved walking along the cliffs. I really want to go back to visit this location and take a longer walk & explore more.
The Chanler Hotel. Rooms are upwards of $800 a night. We saw a wedding reception going on and it looked super fun!
One gorgeous view after another.
I'm not sure I would get much schoolwork done if I went to college here.
A cool cave tucked in behind me to the left.
